Flash is encouraging consumers to clean using Flash All Purpose Cleaner in cold water. Cleaning floors using hot water is very prevalent in the UK with 95% of UK consumers still doing so. By turning off the hot tap and using only cold water,consumers are able to save energy and still get brilliant cleaning. Although the contribution to energy saving from each individual consumer is small, if everyone did their little bit by following this small habit change, the combined results would be very meaningful. Reducing the washing temperature by just using the cold tap, will represent a saving of over 25Kwh/year per household, or in other words, if everybody in UK would use cold tap water to wash their floors enough energy would be save to heat 34.000 homes for a year, or the volume of CO2 saved annually could fill the Royal Albert Hall over 900 times, or fill over 33,000 hot air balloons.
