Award terms and conditions
- This competition is open to all residents in the UK and Republic of Ireland over 16 years of age, excluding employees of Procter & Gamble, their agents and anyone else professionally connected to this promotion. Entries by applicants under the age of 18 years must be authorised by a parent or guardian.
- Last date for receipt of entries is midnight, 31/12/2009
- Prizes will be awarded to the entrants or those nominated who, in the opinion of the independent judges, complete the entry form as a whole, in the most apt, unique, engaging and original way. The Community Award will have one cash bursary of £10,000. Prizes are as stated and there are no alternatives. Cash must be spent to progress the winning project, and winners can be expected to be called intermittently by P&G representatives for progress updates. The Family Award will have one prize worth £10,000 in the form of an energy and environment home makeover, which must be utilised within 1 year from the winner’s announcement.
- Those nominated will be asked for their consent to participate in the awards via email on receipt of the nominator's entry.
- Following submitting their entry, entrants may be contacted via phone or email with a series of follow-up questions. These questions must be completed within 7 days of receipt to be eligible for the final shortlist.
- The 10 shortlisted finalists will be contacted on or around w/c 18th January. Entrants may be contacted prior to the shortlist being finalised, for a short telephone interview to ascertain further information. A finalists list and the overview films will be available on or around w/c 1st March at the following web site page: http://www.futurefriendly.co.uk/finalists/. The winner will be announced in April 2010.
- The judges' decision is final. Judges will be appointed by Procter & Gamble UK.
- By entering the Future Friendly Awards, applicants agree to be bound by the rules and by any other requirements set out in the promotional material – including the participation in a finalist’s film to reveal their project and attendance at the awards ceremony. Filming dates likely to be within 18 January – 22 February 2010. Winner's ceremony likely to be w/c 05.04.10 – all dates subject to change. Should any photos be uploaded to form support for an entry, entrants agree that they may be uploaded onto www.futurefriendly.co.uk and consequently will be in the public domain.
- Eligible submissions must represent an original creative work of the entrant that do not violate or infringe upon the rights of any third party, including copyrights, trademarks or rights or privacy or publicity.
- By participating in the Future Friendly Awards, you agree not to submit any entry or communication that is unlawful, libelous, slanderous, defamatory or invasive of another person's right of privacy or right of publicity, or that may reasonably deem harmful, vulgar, obscene, derogatory, pornographic, abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful, objectionable with respect to race, religion, creed, national origin or gender, or otherwise unfit for publication. Procter & Gamble shall not be liable in any way for such content.
- Procter & Gamble shall not be liable in any way for entries deemed to be improper by other users at the web site.
- All entries become the property of Procter & Gamble UK.
- Procter & Gamble reserves the right to substitute the prize of equal or greater value in the event of unavailability due to circumstances beyond their control.
